Corpo de Bombeiros retira rede de pesca que estava impedindo o surfe entre Capão da Canoa e Atlântida (RS); Rio Grande do Sul já registra 49 mortes de surfistas que se enrolaram nestas redes.
Na tarde da última quinta-feira (26), o Corpo de Bombeiros do Rio Grande do Sul, em parceria com a Brigada Militar, retirou uma rede de pesca que estava à deriva entre as praias de Capão da Canoa e Atlântida, impedindo o surfe entre as guaritas 80 e 81.
A denúncia foi feita pela Associação de Surfistas de Capão da Canoa (ASCC). A pesca com redes de cabo está proibida desde o dia 15 de dezembro no litoral gaúcho, visando a segurança de quem entra no mar.
Após o alerta da ASCC, a área foi sinalizada com bandeiras da cor preta, indicando risco de morte. Durante toda a quarta-feira os bombeiros tentaram, sem sucesso, fazer a retirada do material.
Em nota o 9º Batalhão do Corpo de Bombeiros informou que o material era de uma embarcação que havia naufragado.
O Rio Grande do Sul já registrou 49 mortes de surfistas que se enrolaram em redes de pesca, mas desde 2010 nenhuma ocorrência é registrada. As praias do estado contam com sinalização e áreas específicas para o surfe e a pesca.
